PEI designs and manufactures Biogas Processing Systems (Compressor Skids, Blower Skids, Chiller Skids) to extract / receive waste gases from landfills, digesters, and other sources. Systems provide maintainable inlet and discharge pressures to satisfy process requirements as well as gas stream moisture removal and temperature conditioning. Systems range from basic waste gas extraction and combustion to multi-pipeline gas-to-energy projects. Perennial Energy classifies Biogas Processing Systems into two categories; Gas Handling Systems and Gas Compression Systems.
Gas Handling Systems are utilized by sites with basic gas processing requirements. These systems typically have a lower discharge pressure requirement, less than 3psi, and use centrifugal blowers.
Gas Compression Systems are utilized by sites with more aggressive gas processing requirements. These systems typically have a higher discharge pressure requirement, greater than 3psi, and use positive displacement compressors.
PEI Biogas Processing Systems are designed per site project requirements, and are most often provided as completely pre-engineered, pre-packaged, pre-conduited, pre-wired and factory pre-tested. The motor control centers and digital logical control systems are usually provided on the skid-mounted system, having been designed specifically for the site requirements. PEI is a UL Approved Enclosed Electrical Control Panel and Flame Safeguard Control Panel manufacturer. PEI Biogas Processing Systems are often ordered in combination with either PEI Enclosed Ground Flares or PEI Utility Flares as either Enclosed Ground Flare Stations or Utility Flare Stations.
